Working with Jen was amazing and she was very responsive to our needs. Coordinating with her to make the arrangements was a breeze and she communicated with me every step of the way—there were no questions that went unanswered! She connected immediately with our audience and gave an inspiring presentation to wrap up our conference.

The reviews received from the conference attendees repeatedly noted that Jen was motivating, engaging, and energetic. Our desire was to give our members something that helped them in their personal life so that the only thing they left with was not just ‘work’ stuff. We felt that her presentation not only helped our members professionally but also personally, she was energetic, relevant and engaged our members. We all learned methods to avoid the deadly buildup of stress and ways to deal with it along the way. We plan to have her back again in the future for another presentation. Over a year later and we still have members ask when she will be coming back.

My takeaways from Jen’s session is that there are a variety of pathways to resolving stress in the workplace and at home, we need to spend more time getting to know the people we interact with and reserve judgement until we do. Also, we never should jump to conclusions about others because oftentimes skews are initial impressions which then influences our relationships that are crucial to the work we do. It is important to remember to not allow others’ negativity to occupy your thoughts and determine your actions. Finally, we never really know what is going on in other people’s lives and should do what we can to find out in order to assist with managing our emotions and how we react.
